Richmond County Temporary Storm Debris Staging Areas Now Closed

Posted: Updated:
Augusta, GA -

Due to the amount of storm debris and the agreement with the debris cleanup contractor, the temporary storm debris dump sites located at Carrie Mays Park and Lake Olmstead are now closed.

Available locations for debris disposal are Eisenhower Park, located on Eisenhower Drive, and the Augusta Landfill, located on Deans Bridge Road. Disposal of storm debris at both locations is still free of charge.

The storm debris cleanup contractor is working diligently to remove all large storm debris from the right-of-ways in Augusta.

Other small yard waste that is placed in bags or small piles will be serviced by your regular Augusta solid waste hauler. Please be patient, as there still remains a lot of material to be collected.

Residents who still have questions about storm cleanup are asked to call 311.
