Hundreds of people visited the North Augusta Riverview Center Activities Park for a family health fair expo today.
Over one hundred vendors were on hand to help people get free blood pressure checks, answer questions about hospice and diabetes.
It's the first year for the Lions Club Charity and a twenty year member says the goal is to keep everyone's hearing and vision.
Annette Hart, Past District Governor of the Lions Club says, "My nightmare is to be blind. So anything that I can do to prevent somebody else from having a vision problem. I say everyday that we are heroes."
Comfort Keepers in North Augusta is an in-home care service that put on the health expo. They are donating all of the proceeds to the Lions Club in hopes that they raise ten thousand dollars for a vision screen device.
