Runners of all ages came together Saturday morning for the third annual Reid on the Run 5k and Fun Run. The 5K went through historic Summerville.
There were even runners with four legs on hand.
For some, like Stevie Dement, who runs with his godson who is in a wheel chair, this was a time to bond.
"well, we just like to get out and run and be healthy and get as fit as we can and spend time together. It's cancer awareness at Reid Presbyterian and it's a great opportunity for us," said Dement.
News Channel 6 Anchor Brad Means took part as well.
Proceeds benefit University's Breast Health Center.
This year's race honored Sterling Ivey, a mother of three battling cancer for the second time.
