Read the text of a press release we received Tuesday from the company below:
"WOW! technicians have made excellent progress to restore the cable lines damaged by the storm. Crews quickly assess the damage and executed plan to repair the damage lines and fully restore the system by Thursday, February 20, 2014 – one week after the storm. There were over 200 different locations where main lines were down and numerous customer cable drops that connected to the customers' homes down. Currently there are less than 800 customers without service; the majority of these customers are in the Hill Section of Augusta and Grovetown. Grovetown will be completed on Tuesday, February 18 and Harlem by end of day Wednesday, February 19th.
'On Thursday we will have only minor clean-up to do,' commented Abu Khan, Vice-President/General Manager. 'This tremendous effort would not have been possible without the dedication of our local technicians and those technicians from around the country who committed to work long hours and days to restore our system as quickly as possible.'
