***UPDATED at 1:07 P.M. on Monday, February 24th***

Boil Water Advisories for Valley Public Service Authority customers and Beech Island Rural Community Water & Sewer District customers have been lifted.


The Aiken Department of Public Safety announced the following boil water advisory for Whiskey Road:

"In response to the Whiskey Road water main rupture earlier today, the City of Aiken Engineering and Utilities Department has issued a 'Boil Water Advisory' as a precaution for the homes affected due to the water main rupture at Whiskey Road and Grace Avenue earlier today.
Residents should boil water prior to consumption for the next twenty-four (24) hours. The residents affected by this rupture who are without power to boil water, should not consume or use water until able to boil prior to consumption, or the twenty-four (24) hours has expired."


4:25 p.m. update: Customers of the Blythe Water Works need to boil their water until further notice.



4:35 p.m. update:

Anyone who has water from Beech Island Water and Sewer District should boil your water for 3 minutes before using it for consumption until further notice.
