Jay Leno Ends 22-Year Run As "The Tonight Show" Host

Leno has left the building.

Thursday night was the end of a 22-year run for "Tonight Show" host Jay leno, who now makes way for incoming host Jimmy Fallon.

Leno's swan song came with high emotion and stellar goodbyes from the likes of Carol Burnett, Oprah Winfrey, and even President Barack Obama, among others.

Leno called himself "the luckiest guy in the world".

President Obama contributed one of the taped messages bidding farewell to Leno.

The president was a frequent target of Leno's barbs.

Obama says he's now making Leno the U.S. ambassador to Antarctica. The president adds, "Hope you have a warm coat, funnyman."
