The late afternoon signings started at Westside at 3:00 with QB Jalen Lampkin signing with the Citadel.

At 3:30 at Evans, DB/WR David Mims signed with Georgia Military College. WR/DB K'Lon Lovett committed to FCS school Savannah State.


Allendale-Fairax DL Mike Taylor started off the afternoon wave of signings, the FFN/Carolina Panthers All-CSRA Defensive Player of the Year committed to FCS school Charleston Southern.

Laney's James Holmon commits to Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Also at 1:30, 7 players signed at North Augusta including OL Jake Whitley to Georgia Tech and DL Brandon Maddox to Air Force. Both players dealt with ACL injuries this year. Maddox actually played the entire season with a torn ACL. Both say they will be ready to go for their freshman seasons.

At 1:30 at Fox Creek, WR Deondre Baskett signed with the new division 2 football program at Limestone College.


Williston-Elko's Taylor Hearn highlighted another group of signings at 10:00 a.m. The Blue Devil offensive lineman officially committed to Clemson.

At Burke County, Donquell Green committed to Marshall, and Jermaine Baxley and Bryant Wilson signed to S.C. State.

At Bamberg-Ehrhardt high school at 11, 6 players signed headlined by TE K.C. Crosby committing to the Gamecocks of South Carolina.

At Jefferson County, S LaDerrick Hammond signed with Marshall, CoKenya West signed with Virginia Union University, K Seth O'Steen signed with Reinhardt University, and DB T.J. Clark committed to The Citadel.

At Wagener-Salley, TE/DL R.J. Tyler committed to Charlotte, a new FCS program that will be moving up to FBS in 2015. Tyler says he's excited to be part of the new program.

At 11 at Strom Thurmond, LB Kenyatta Dunbar signed with Gardner-Webb and QB Jauveer Hammond signed with The Citadel.

9:00 am - ARC, defensive lineman Willie Yarbary officially picks Wake Forest over Indiana (and 22 others). He says proximity to home (for his parents and family) and the opportunity for early playing time (Deamon Deacons lost all 3 starters on d-line) were big factors in his decision. Former ARC player Will Jones signed with William & Mary after spending a year at a prep school.

Also at 9 at South Aiken, Will Holbrook signed with division 2 Newberry.

In other news, Swainsboro's Rico Johnson officially re-commits to Georgia after spending a year at a prep school.

Also, North Augusta offensive lineman Jake Whitley tweeted, "I am officially a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket." The signing event at North Augusta isn't until 1:30.
