FORT DESOTO PARK, FL (WFLA) - Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg will reopen on Tuesday after officials rescinded a boil water alert that was issued after a water pipe broke near the Pinellas Bayway on Saturday.

Pinellas County officials say residents in Terra Verde can return to normal water use after test have determined that there was no contamination from Saturday's break.

The  drop in water pressure caused by the break forced authorities to close Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg over the weekend.

The park was without potable water, leaving restrooms, showers and water fountains inoperative.

A boil water notice was  put into effect for campers still at the park.
