Time for What's trending at 5:30.... Giving whole new meaning to Super Bowl. Marijuana activists are putting up billboards around metlife stadium in New Jersey where the superbowl will be held. This billboard reads "stop driving players to drink, a safer choice is now legal." The Broncos and Seahawks come from the only two states where recreational marijuana is legal. One activist says that pot is a lot safer than taking a hit from an NFL linebacker or taking a shot of tequilla.
One of the biggest rock bands of the eighties is calling it quits. Motley Crue announced that all four band members signed an agreement that permanently dissolves the band after 2015. They say it's a "peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors." in the meantime, the band is embarking on a farewell tour this summer....after 33 years together. Motley Crue is known for several hits, including "girls, girls, girls"; "doctor feelgood" and "home sweet home".
Happy birthday Oprah Winfrey! The former talk show host turns 60 today, January 29th If you'd like to wish her well - go to oprah-dot-com to do so. She has her own happy birthday hashtag, where people can tag her and share lessons she's taught them.
There is a petition going around about deporting Justin Beiber. After topping more than 100,000 signatures on "We the People," the White House is now obligated to respond to a petition called "Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card." As of this afternoon, the petition had close to one hundred and 14 thousand signatures. There have also been counter petitions started on the government website, although they don't have nearly as many signatures.
