NC college student busted with $100 'Moe Money' bill had $12,800 in dorm, police say

Investigators say they have charged a Greensboro university student with having almost $13,000 in fake money in her room after she tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill signed "Moe Money."
19-year-old Symone Vannessa Brown faces felony charges that include obtaining property under false pretense, uttering a forged security and possession of counterfeiting tools.
UNC-Greensboro police Chief James Herring says campus police responded to a call Tuesday from a drug store where someone tried use to a counterfeit $100 bill to buy a gift card. The signature on the bill said "Moe Money."
Herring says the Walgreens sales clerk questioned Brown about the bill and she left - leaving the questionable cash behind.
Herring says the clerk called authorities and while officers were there investigating, he says Brown came back to retrieve the bill.
UNCG Officers obtained a search warrant after her arrest and found $12,882 in fake bills in her room - mostly $100s.
It was not clear Thursday if Brown has an attorney.
