Over-enthusiastic parent sends daughter back to school a day early!

Jennie Montgomery: "OK, so I have a story for you, Kim."

Kimberely Scott: "Ok! A Mom2Mom?"

Jennie: "You know, astute newswoman that I am... I woke up my daughter, Sky, this morning at 6:45. I was really sad. You know we had done Downton Abbey last night, waited for the return of Downton, and I hated having to get up at 6:45am, but I did. And it's gotten really bad in my house, with only one kid still there, my alarm goes off and I text her and say, 'Are you up?'" (laughter)...

Kim: "You don't even get out of the bed?" (laughter)

Jennie:  "... and I give her a minute or two. Then, if I don't hear from her I get up and walk down to her room."

Kim:  (laughter) "I love it!"

Jennie: "So I made sure she was up and all that. I went downstairs and made her lunch, made her breakfast. She came downstairs and I insisted she get a scarf and all this business. Got her out to the car- it was so cold- and about ten minutes after she left the house my phone rang. I saw her face pop up, you know, her name, and I answered saying, 'What did you forget?' And she said, 'MOM, there is no traffic. I am in the parking lot at Lakeside and there are only teachers' cars here!' Kim, it was a teacher workday and I didn't know!"

Kim:  (laughter) "Jennie!"

Jennie:  "And so, anyway, I have to give a shout out to Sky because she was such a trooper. She made a funny video on Blue Ridge Road saying, 'What is wrong with this picture? I'm driving all the way to the stop sign. There is no traffic.' And then she did a couple of selfies in the empty parking lot and tweeted to her friends, 'Hey- no school today!'"

Kim:  "While they're all still asleep!"

Jennie:  "My mom the newslady didn't know!"

Kim:  "I love it! I love it! Glad she had a good sense of humor."

Jennie:  "Me too!"

Kim:  "And George is going to tell us more about that cold weather that may keep other students home, so stay with us."
