Lincoln County and Georgia state authorities continue to search for Courtney Partlow. They consider him to be armed and dangerous. He suspected of killing 27-year old Lakendra Elam and 28-year old Terrence Norman in Lincoln County on Saturday morning.
As authorities continue to search for the suspect, WJBF has been working to learn more about who he is.
We spoke to the suspected shooter’s sister, Angela Tutt. She says it’s hard to believe her brother could do something like this.
Tutt last saw Partlow Saturday morning around 3:30 am, but has no clue what led to the events later that morning.
“I couldn’t imagine, I didn’t know what to think. I never ever thought my brother would kill someone,” said Tutt.
She says her brother was living with the female victim, Lakendra, down the street and they shared a child together.
However, Lakendra has recently been spending time with the male victim, Terrence, who she shares a child with too.
“Whatever occurred, however the case may have been, there’s gotta be another side… there are 2 sides to every story,” said Tutt.
She said her brother is a loving father.
“Christmas day, the next day he was riding down and walking down the street with the kids riding their bikes and his daughter riding in her car that she got for Christmas,” said Tutt.
Tutt said her brother is not the person everyone is portraying him to be.
“Everybody is just distorted, no one understands and everyone knows something had to happen in order for my brother to react like this,” said Tutt.
She has a message for her brother:
“We love you, come forward, turn yourself in so it will all be over with.”
