Georgia's newest elected representative was sworn in Thursday.
Brian Prince was elected to complete the unfinished term of the late State Representative Quincy Murphy.
State Rep. Prince will now hold the Georgia House of Representatives District 127 seat.
Prince was sworn in during a ceremony at the John H. Ruffin Courthouse.
Judge David Watkins presided over the swearing in before a standing room only audience of supporters
"It feels great. I'm very excited...a lot of support today. We're excited about moving ahead," Prince said.
His first official day as State Representative will be January 13th, when the state legislative session begins.
