The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has released information concerning an incident Monday where a driver crashed into a house on Meadowbrook Drive.
The crash happened right after 10:00 a.m., when a spokesman says a 58-year-old man crashed his 2004 Lincoln Aviator into the house. His wife was in the vehicle and the driver reportedly had an unknown medical issue which caused him to pass out.
While he was traveling west on Meadowbrook Drive, he struck two mailboxes then struck the side of the house.
The vehicle came to rest with the front of his vehicle inside of the residence. The side of the house that he struck was unoccupied at the time of the accident.
The driver and his wife were transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center. As of noon, his condition was listed as critical. There is no word on his wife's condition.
