Driver Of Vehicle That Struck Richmond County Student Facing Felony Charge

The driver of a van that struck a Sue Reynolds Elementary School student at a school bus stop Monday morning is now facing a felony charge.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division has secured a felony arrest warrant on 20-year-old Scott William Hancock regarding the Monday morning accident.

The 8-year-old 4th grader remains in critical condition at Georgia Regents Medical Center.

We are told, Traffic investigators secured one felony count of "Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle". The arrest warrant has been executed at the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Jail, where Hancock is still being housed.
