The Border Bash Foundation celebrated it's 20th Anniversary this morning at the Beasely Broadcast Group.
The foundation presented checks to 26 local children's charities.
Each charity accepted the check and said how they were going to use the money to help the community.
Many of the charities focus on helping children with food, clothing, transportation, shelter, and education.
Joel Simmons, Border Bash Foundation President, "the biggest problem that you have is so many of the bigger charities kind of spotlight and get all the media attention and what we tend to earmark and contribute a lot of...out of the 26...probably 25 or 24 of these small charities never get a lot of media attention that getting these grants really mean a lot to keeping their doors open."
Simmons says the Border Bash Foundation has raised over 825-thousand dollars in the past twenty years to give to these charities.
