The winter finale of ABC's Scandal is Thursday, December 12th, but when it returns for the spring, the number of episodes has been reduced from 12 to 8. According to the Shadow and Act entertainment blog, ABC announced that they have cut the full season 3 order from 22 episodes down to 18. There has been no official reason given by the network, but there is speculation that it could have something to do with Kerry Washington's pregnancy. So after the mid-season finale, there will only be 8 episodes left this season. Scandal returns February 27th.
