Volunteers have created quite a sight at Savannah Christian Church, putting the final touches on the recreated ancient town of Bethlehem. They are doing so in preparation of The Journey, a Christmas event that recreates life 2,000 years ago the night Jesus was born, according to information released by the church.
The congregation has held this event for more than 10 years, but it's all new this year, completely rebuilt. It will be the largest outreach event the church of 8,000 has done in its 50-year history.
More than 20,000 people are expected to come from across the Southeast during the first two weeks in December to experience life the night Christmas began.
Visit www.sccjourney.com for more information.
