Hundreds get hands-on learning at Go-Science event

Posted: Updated:

The Tipsy Teapot was full of eager learners on Sunday.

More than 100 families converged on the Greenville restaurant for a hands-on Go-Science learning day.

Children and their parents bounced between 12 hands-on activities at the two-hour science event.

Go-Science Executive Director, Roger Conner, says it's all about getting kids interested in science, technology, engineering, and math.

“The kids will be doing hands-on experiments learning about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a fun format," said Conner.

Sunday’s event was also about launching two new Go-Science programs.

"We actually are getting ready to launch a satellite into space in early December and actually bury a time capsule here in Greenville,” said Conner

The satellite launch is set for Dec. 15th.

Sunday’s event was a free event.
