Time for what's trending at 5:30...

An 11-year-old boy who was found handcuffed to a porch, with a dead chicken around his neck.
The foster mother, Wanda Sue Larson is a supervisor with the county's social services department.
Larson and Dorian Lee Harper were arrested on multiple charges, including child abuse.
The couple has four adopted children and one foster son, who police found handcuffed on the porch.
The children are now in the custody of an outside agency.
They are being held on about a 500-thousand-dollar bond each.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford strikes again....this time....gearing up for a showdown today with city council members seeking to strip him of most of his remaining powers.
Ford says that he is not a drug addict or an alcoholic.....stonch supporters believe him.
Mayor Ford and his brother vow to fight and stay in office.

Thanksgiving is next week and as tradition would have it.....one lucky turkey will be in the spotlight.
 John Burkel of Badger, Minnesota, raises 70-thousand turkeys a year. He's picked out his best to present as the National Thanksgiving Turkey to the White House and President Obama the day before Thanksgiving.
John Burkel, his wife and five children will all be making the trip to D.C. Along with the entire, senior class of 15  Badger High School students.

There is a shortage of large, fresh butterball turkeys this year.
this could be a recipe for a thanksgiving day disaster.
it's all because some farmer who supply butterball couldn't get their turkeys to plump up sufficiently, so fresh ones over 16 pounds might be in short supply.
butterball produces around one-point-three billion pounds of turkey meat a year, and 20 percent of the united states' turkeys.
