Monty Jones, who is the general manager of the Augusta Entertainment Complex, which includes the James Brown Arena and Bell Auditorium, is being promoted within Global Spectrum and leaving Augusta.

The Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority, along with Global Spectrum, operators of the James Brown Arena and the Bell Auditorium, today announced that Monty Jones Jr, who has served as General Manager of both venues, is being promoted within Global Spectrum and will be leaving Augusta, effective on Monday, December 2nd.
Jones is relocating to Glendale, AZ, where he will become the General Manager of the Jobing.com Arena which is home of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.
"The Global Spectrum staff under Monty's leadership has done a tremendous job bringing in top-notch entertainment to our region," added Cedric Johnson, chairman of the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority. "While we certainly appreciate everything Monty has done for our region and our facilities, we are happy for him on his new promotion."
"Global Spectrum is committed to a smooth transition from Monty to a new, soon-to-be-named General Manager," said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page.
