You can call it some long overdue recognition for one veteran.
Cletus Williams was given the Purple Heart on Monday for actions he took during the Korean War.
On February 16, 19-51, Williams ran 20 miles in the cold to avoid being captured by Chinese soldiers.
He was barefoot for most of that run.
Williams, who is in his 90's now--suffered frostbitten feet and some shrapnel to his arm that night.
He says he's thrilled about his honor.
"Today is one of the greatest days of my life," he says. "It took 62 years for it to get here, and I'm happy and I'm proud of it."
