Jim Steed, owner of Steed's Dairy Farm explains, "without them, we wouldn't be here. So, we try to do everything we can for our military men and women."
Each time Steed and his family open the gates of their 15 acre agricultural playground, he says the stars and stripes are on their mind.
"We give a military discount all year. And we also have different things going on with Ft. Gordon when they have service men and women deployed out or they're coming back in," he adds.
Coming back they're met with discounted fun-filled adventures. For the fourth year, Steed is offering a corn maize, live stock, and a kids' zip line to CSRA service members.
Army veteran, Tina Marie Hicks, Army Veteran, tells News Channel 6's Tyrone McCoy "I hope they continue to thank us and appreciate us for what we've done.'
Tina Marie says this is the second year she's brought her daughter out to the farm. She goes on to say places like Steed's Dairy offering military discounts all year are few and far between.
"I don't feel like enough big activities do that. Enough restaurants do it, but they should do that more often. They honor them on Veteran's Day. Maybe they should do it more often throughout the year," Hicks explains.
So, as veterans fight for our freedom year round, Steed says it's important to give what he can to those who have given so much
Steed leaves with "they really do a big service to all of us and without them we couldn't do what we do here."
Again, Veterans Day is tomorrow. Thank you to all of the men, women, and their families who sacrifice so much for the our country.
