(AP) - The Georgia owner of a ride at the North Carolina State Fair that investigators say injured five people after safety equipment was tampered with has surrendered to police. Thirty-two-year-old Joshua Gene Macaroni is scheduled to appear in court in Raleigh today. The ride is owned by Macaroni's family business, Family Attractions Amusement Co., of Valdosta, Ga.

ATLANTA (AP) - A high school football team in DeKalb County went back on the field after a teammate was wounded in a shooting. Extra police officers were present yesterday as Stephenson High School played its final game of the season after the attack.

VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) - The parents of a Georgia teenager found dead at school inside a rolled-up gym mat still have unanswered questions after officials released hours of surveillance camera footage in the case.

Sheriff's investigators say 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson of Valdosta died in a freak accident. Johnson's parents insist someone must have killed him.
