NC State police arrest 6 in student assault, robbery

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Six people have been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault of a North Carolina State student E.S. King Village on Halloween.

After the incident, university police stepped up foot patrols and conducted checkpoints in collaboration with Raleigh police. As a result, officers arrested six people in connection with the Oct. 31 robbery and assault.

Officers arrested and charged 17-year-old Wanya Whitley, 16-year-old Joclyn Mosby and 16-year-old Camden Seymour. Whitley, Mosby and Seymour are all charged with robbery. Seymour is charged with assault and trespassing and Whitley is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and trespassing.

The other three suspects are under the age of 16 and their names are not being released at this time. All three will be charged with robbery and one of them will also be charged with assault.

Officers have not linked these suspects to the robbery that took place on Oct. 29 near Carmichael Gym. Anyone with information about that incident is asked to call campus police at 919-515-3000.
