UPDATED ON 6: New Information Released In North Augusta Shooting Death

More information is coming to light in a shooting death which happened in North Augusta Wednesday.

Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested Robin Renee Herndon in connection with the shooting incident that occurred at 721 Sudlow Lake Road.

Deputies responded to the North Augusta home Wednesday around 2:12 p.m. where they found the victim, Christopher Rowley, with a gunshot wound to his neck.

Aiken County EMS responded and transported the Rowley to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Herndon was taken into custody and transported to the Aiken County Detention Center. Herndon has been charged with Manslaughter and is awaiting a bond hearing. This is an ongoing investigation.

An Aiken County man is dead after suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to Aiken County Investigators, Christopher Rowley was shot after an alleged domestic argument with his friend, who is an employee of the South Carolina Probation and Parole.

Rowley died shortly after arriving at Georgia Regents Medical Center.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The investigation is ongoing.
