A new tool is helping deputies in one Georgia county prevent cell phones from being smuggled into jail.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office has the new device.
It causes lights and buzzers to go off if the it picks up a cell phone nearby.
Deputies say they've only found one phone in recent months, and that one was dropped in a toilet inside a cell block.
They say phones are not only used to plot escapes, but to plan other crimes.
Similar devices are also being used in Fulton County.
