Augusta Commissioners are shutting down troubled night spot at least when it comes to selling alcohol
City leaders voting 6-4 to revoke the liquor license for Club Skittlez.
The bar was already on probation when deputies found a person under age inside the bar last month.
In June, Commissioners suspended the club's liquor license for three months and placed it on a years probation when a 16-year-old was found in the bar dancing with a naked male stripper.
Some Commissioners said the club was being treated more harshly because it was a gay club.
"It didn't have anything to do with the culture part of it. Just, they were on probation, they broke it. If we went against the ruling of what the Sheriff's Department...I would rather take the word of the Sheriff's Department than take the word of others," says Commissioner Wayne Guilfoyle.
Skittlez lawyer Jack Batson says he plans to appeal the revocation to Superior Court.
