Palace Malice "Doing Great" Heading into Breeders' Cup

Posted: Updated:

Aiken, SC (WJBF) -- Cot Campbell says Palace Malice could not be doing better as he gets set to run in the 5 million dollar Breeders' Cup Classic this Saturday in California. The fantastic foal is trying to add to his impressive resume that already includes wins at the Belmont Stakes and Jim Dandy Stakes.

Palace Malice is chasing the 3-year-old of the year honor. Campbell says he just needs to finish better than "Will Take Charge" to likely secure that honor. Palice Malice is the 5th favorite in the 12 horse field.

Palace Malice will have a new jockey for this race. Hall of famer John Velazquez takes over for Mike Smith who will be riding the favorite in the Breeders' Cup, "Game On Dude."
