To the Moon: Snoopy Soars with NASA is open through December 29, 2013. We have two Family Fun Days planned in conjunction with the exhibit. · On Sunday, November 3, families can explore NASA history, meet Snoopy, make mini parachutes, watch a water rocket launch demonstration, go through a moon hop obstacle course, and more. · On Sunday, December 15, families can join in Snoopy's Holiday Party. They can participate in Snoopy's dance-off, decorate ornaments and presents, and even play in "snow." · Family Fun Days are from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, and activities are free with museum admission. Our upcoming exhibits: · Opening January 18, 2014 is "Protests, Prayers, and Progress: Greenville's Civil Rights Movement." In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Greenville County schools, this exhibit details the people, events, and culture of Greenville's Civil Rights Movement through oral histories, artifacts, and images. · Opening February 8, 2014 is "The World of Jan Brett." a fun and educational traveling exhibit featuring original artwork from the stories of the beloved children's author/illustrator. This exhibit, presented by the Oshkosh Public Museum in partnership with Jan Brett, features fifty-one original paintings from ten of Jan Brett's bestselling books. The museum is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday 1:00 - 5:00pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for children.
