The Walton Foundation for Independence is bringing together golf-lovers from across the area.
An adaptive golf challenge took place Monday morning at Forest Hills Golf Club. It was a chance for able-bodied and disabled players to tee off together after several months of training clinics.
Participant Donald Shapiro says, "It's just good fellowship and it gets you meeting different people and getting out in public. And it's also good for able-bodied people to see that disabled people out and what they're capable of and playing and enjoying a round of golf."
Sign up is already open for next year's adaptive golf clinics, which begin in March.
