HARRIS COUNTY, Ga. -

A Harris County family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the collision that killed a Harris County teen. Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of $2,000, bringing the total to $7,000.

On June 25, 2013 around 6:30 p.m. Galen Mallory was driving south on US 219 to pick-up a friend and go to the movies. A Lincoln Aviator was traveling north on USA 219, ran off the road and jerked the wheel back to the left, striking Mallory's car. Mallory was eventually pronounced dead.

The Mallory family said a witness traveling in front of their son's car saw a vehicle driving erratically that crossed the yellow line and caused the first driver to swerve to avoid being hit. That car is described as a gray car of SUV, possibly a Suzuki.

The victim's family is asking anyone who saw something that evening to contact them, Harris County Sheriff's Department or Georgia State Patrol.

The Mallory family can be contacted at 706-885-1401 or galenmallorysfamily@gmail.com.

The Harris County Sheriff's Department can be contacted at 706-628-4211. Georgia State Patrol can be reached at 706-845-4104.

Flyers will be handed out Tuesday along the stretch of road where the teen died. Law enforcement officials said the road will be shut down for the event.
