Attendance has dropped at the North Carolina State Fair in the day following a ride accident that left five injured.
Brian Long, public affairs director of the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, said Friday's attendance was 82,163. The attendance on the second Friday in 2012 drew 92,418 people. Long said the 10-year average for that day is 78,855.
Friday marked the first full day since the accident.
Three of the victims are still hospitalized.
