The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for most of the CSRA for Saturday morning.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions may kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Temperatures are going to be near 30 degrees over much of the CSRA from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Canadian high pressure moving into the area will bring the coldest temperatures so far this season. Widespread frost will occur during the early morning hours of Saturday.
Also, please remember to turn off the automatic timers on sprinkler systems Friday so that water doesn't freeze on the roadways - and make sure your pets have a warm place to take shelter Friday night – or let them come inside. If you have any sensitive outdoor plants, it would be best to get them inside also.
