Recruitment Nov. 2 for 85 job openings in West Point

ATLANTA, Ga. -

   Johnson Controls in West Point is looking to hire 85 workers.  The Georgia Department of Labor's Career Center in LaGrange is helping the company find those workers.

   Recruitment for employees will be held Saturday, November 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Johnson Controls plant at 1700 South Progress Parkway.

   The company is looking for material handlers and door and seat assemblers.  The material handlers must have a forklift certification and one year's work experience.  No experience is necessary for the door and seat assemblers.  The starting salary for the positions is $13 an hour.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

   Applicants should bring a resume and be ready to complete a company application and go through the interview process.
