Fallen Soldier's Spongebob Squarepants Headstone Causes Controversy

Cincinnati, OH -

The headstone for a fallen soldier is causing controversy.

The family of 28-year old U.S. Army Sergeant Kimberly Walker says she loved Spongebob Squarepants, and designed her headstone to look like the character.

One was ordered for her, and one for her sister...each costing more than $13,000.

The cemetery, though, after approving the design for the headstones, told the family they weren't appropriate.

The president of the cemetery says he felt bad and that, although it was designed with guidance from an employee, the monument didn't fit within their guidelines.
