CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris says the ninth-ranked Tigers are struggling to run their basic offense and pointed blame at almost everyone on the unit - including himself.
Morris said Monday left tackle Brandon Thomas was the only starter playing at a consistently high level.
He says quarterback Tajh Boyd, receiver Sammy Watkins and the rest of the offense have made too many mistakes that have cost Clemson (6-1, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). The Tigers had four turnovers in a 51-14 loss to No. 3 Florida State on Saturday, matching their total coming into the game.
Clemson has managed just 38 points its past two games after averaging 44 the first five weeks.
Morris believes the mistakes will be fixed and Clemson will rebound against Maryland (5-2, 1-2).
