WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that somewhat normal operations at the Savannah River Site will resume Monday.

SRS officials say they are pleased that Congress and President Barack Obama have agreed to partial fiscal year 2014 funding and say SRS should receive funding guidance from the Department of Energy by Friday.

Officials say SRS will resume normal operations on Monday.

Barricades affected by the government shutdown will re-open Monday and and lanes that had been closed will re-open. All employees should continue to exercise caution when approaching site barricades.

Savannah River Remediation (SRR) employees are requested to return to work beginning with their normal shift schedule Monday. For employees who need to pick up their badge for re-entry, they should return to the Badge Office before reporting to their work location. those employees are urged to bring a State- or Federal-issued photo ID (such as a Driver's License or Passport) for identification.

Wackenhut (WSI) is in the process of resuming normal operations. Furloughed employees will be notified by their supervisors when to return to work.
