The Durham Police Department said it is investigating a homicide that occurred Oct. 12 in northern Durham.
Police said officers responded to a shooting call in the 4800 block of Danube Lane shortly after 6:30 p.m., police said.
Upon arrival, officers found Lorenzo Puebla Hernandez, 47, of Danube Lane, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, authorities said.
Hernandez was taken to the hospital, where he died Saturday morning, police said.
Police said it is believed Hernandez was walking back to his apartment when the shooting occurred.
No charges have been filed at this time.
