Aiken Man Arrested, Charged In Connection To Several Burglaries

Investigators with Aiken Department of Public Safety have arrested a man in connection to several burglaries in the Aiken area.
Investigators say 31-year-old Ricky Antonio Holmes, of Aiken, is charged with three (3) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Safecracking, and possession of burglary tools.
Holmes is accused of breaking into The Breakers Convenience Store on University Parkway. He is also accused of breaking into the Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken on Richland Avenue. While inside of those businesses, investigators say he forced entry into the safes, and removed an undisclosed amount of money.
Holmes is currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. Investigators are continuing to determine if Holmes is connected to other burglaries in the Aiken area.
