PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -

The Florida Department of Transportation wants your advice on how to fix the Howard Frankland Bridge. There are two public hearings, one is Tuesday evening at the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority with an open house at 5 p.m. and a formal presentation at 6.

The northbound lanes of the bridge need to be replaced. That alone would cost $367 million, according to FDOT. Planners are also considering rapid transit lanes which would tack on millions of more dollars.

Kris Carson, the FDOT Spokesperson, says the bridge is safe for commuters for now.

Meeting information: Both meetings have open house from 5 to 7 in the evening with a formal presentation at 6.
