***UPDATED at 1:31 P.M. on Monday, October 7th***

We have an update on a story involving a 10-year-old being hit be a vehicle on Saturday.

A Richmond County Sheriff's Office spokesperson tells us, 10-year-old Jamario Sanders was attempting to cross the eastbound lane of Meadowbrook Drive from the center turn after exiting the passenger side of a 2006 Black Chrysler 300, driven by Santana Marah. Marah had stopped her car facing west in the center turn lane to allow Jamario out so he could go to his father's house at 2526 Meadowbrook Drive.

Witnesses stated Sanders walked east from the Chrysler (behind the car, which blocked the view of the child to eastbound traffic) and then ran out in front of a 1992 blue/silver Dodge Dakota driven by Milton Lee Munn.

After the collision, Munn remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Munn was not charged in the accident. Marah was issued a citation for Improper Stopping in the Roadway.

Jamario Sanders is doing well, according to officials, and only suffered superficial injuries.
