A new traveling exhibit honoring those have died in service to their country since 9/11 is coming to the National Infantry Museum.
"Remembering Our Fallen" will debut on Sunday, October 20 with a special ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Several hundred family members and friends of those who were killed in Iraq or Afghanistan will be given the opportunity to view the exhibit before the ceremony.
The guest speaker for the event will be Colonel Leopoldo Quintas, Commandant of the Maneuver Center of Excellence Armor School.
The exhibit consists of photographs of each of the honored service members. Georgia is the eleventh state to have an exhibit dedicated to its fallen heroes. Nearly 200 Georgians have died in service to their country since September 11, 2001.
The exhibit will remain open to the public at the National Infantry Museum through November 3. From Columbus the exhibit will be sent to Macon.
