Columbia Man Arrested, Charged With Human Trafficking In Richmond County

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Columbia, South Carolina man on Human Trafficking charges.
On Wednesday, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Richmond County Sheriff's Office Vice Division and Narcotics Division investigators responded to 201 Boy Scout Road (Motel 6) in reference to complaints received concerning drug activity, loitering, and prostitution.
While at the motel, investigators identified two victims of human trafficking based on indicators they learned during a recent human trafficking class.
After conducting a thorough investigation and receiving statements from the two victims, as well as the perpetrator, they were able charge 29-year-old Earthell Tyler III, of 6620 Two Notch Road Lot #5 in Columbia, with 2 counts of Trafficking Of Persons For Sexual Servitude.
