It's time to sign up for the Affordable Care Act....if you're curious about how to move forward...let's walk through it together.
You can call 1-800-318-2596 to connect to the health insurance market place.
The automated system will ask - what state you live in......and then they'll give you the option of speaking with a representative or you can stay on line and gather more information.
If you choose to get your information via the world wide web.....go to "Healthcare.Gov"
On the website, you should find quite a few answers to some of the questions you might have.....they're even translated into a variety of languages.
Information about individual and family coverage, small business owners and links for a variety of topics.
If you already have employer sponsored insurance....there's also an option with information available for you.
If you want to sign up for coverage, click on the tab that says "get insurance", choose the state you live in and the system will lead you through the process.
What do you need before you call or sign up:
You'll need....social security numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants.
Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage
Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household and....and a completed employer coverage worksheet.....you can find that online.
Open enrollment is happening now....coverage will start as early as January 1, 2014. open enrollment ends March 31, 2014.
