Commissioners want a closer look at redevelopment in two historic Augusta neighborhoods.
They voted today to create a review team to examine the Laney-Walker-Bethlehem project.
The project has raised questions after the Housing and Development Department said it needed a 2-and-a-half million dollar bridge loan to continue the work.
Some commissioners have problems with approving the funding because in the last three years more than two million dollars has been spent on marketing and consultants.
Commissioners want the Planning and Zoning Department to help by submitting names for the review team for commissioners to approve.
The team is expected to report back in two months.
