Talk but not action on Augusta's City Administrator
Commissioners going behind closed doors for nearly an hour before this afternoon's meeting.
One of the topics in the legal session was City Administrator Fred Russell.
Before the meeting Mayor Pro-Tem Corey Johnson confirmed that some commissioners were unhappy with City Administrator Fred Russell.
"We have our issues, we have to communicate and work it out hopefully today we can work through that," says Johnson.
Suspension or termination?
"Naw I don't think any of that is on the table, I don't know what it's going to be I just know the conversation is going to be had, said Johnson.
Russell has come under fire recently for not alerting commissioners of the plan to designate downtown as a "slum area."
Commissioners emerged from the legal session and there was no motion made concerning Russell or any other topic.
Russell declined to discuss the legal session.
