Wayne Co. school custodian charged with larceny by employee

FREMONT, N.C. -

A Goldsboro man is charged in connection with a school break-in in Wayne County.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has charged Jonathan Copes with breaking an entering, Larceny, possession of stolen goods and larceny by employee.

Deputies said Copes took several items from Norwayne Middle School. Copes was a custodian who worked at the school, and he has since been laid off.

Copes was given a $7,000 bond.
