OXFORD, N.C. -

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a murder Wednesday night at an Oxford convenience store.

Deputies say 49-year-old Musleh Mohamed Qayed was shot and killed around 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Market in Oxford.

Investigators say a gunman came into the convenience store, shot Qayed and broke into the cash register.

A customer found Qayed lying on the floor, dead from a single gunshot wound.

Rodriguez Thomas, 24, is purported to be the triggerman. He is charged with first degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Larissa Comer, Rodicka Rivers and Tonielle Curtis were also each charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and accessory after the fact.

Granville County Sheriff Brindell Wilkins said security cameras at the convenience store were not functional. He said deputies identified the suspects following an investigation.
