Enthusiastic Holly Springs welcomes WNCN

Posted: Updated:
HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. -

Holly Springs High School was up and active early Friday morning as WNCN's Friday Blitz arrived on campus.

The Golden Hawks turned out in force, with football players, the band and cheerleaders and even faculty members eager to see WNCN's Page Crawford and to appear in the morning broadcast. WNCN Today appears live every Friday from a high school in the market to promote the school and its achievements.

The cheerleaders did backflips, the band was nearly flawless and the Purple Craze spirit squad was rowdy and ready from the beginning as Holly Springs got ready  for tonight's big game.

WNCN covers high school football every Friday night at 11:15 p.m. with Todd Gibson's Friday Blitz show.

Holly Springs has a home football game with nearby rival Fuquay-Varina Friday night. Holly Springs is 1-3 overall and coming off a win at Durham Jordan.

Fuquay-Varina is 3-1 after a 31-14 win over Clayton.

Crawford and WNCN Today have also appeared live at Millbrook, Cardinal Gibbons and Garner this season.
